Little Passports

Updated: Jun 26, 2020

As we started this homeschool journey I wanted to find something to help my children engage with the world around them and invoke a natural curiosity about the world. We found Little Passports. It’s been a very engaging program so far that both my kids are very excited about and anxiously wait the next delivery. It has helped to spark discussions about different languages, foods, money, animals and traditions of other countries. The great part about this program is it allows you to explore as much or as little as you’d like in the different countries you get each month. It has made my kids start a bucket list of places they’d like to visit and learn more about.

The program is like a pen pal program as the kids receive a letter from the two explorers Sam and Sofia each month. The first month includes the signature blue suitcase filled with goodies including a passport, world wall map, exclusive world country coin, coin board, three squishy animals, welcome letter from Sam & Sofia, stickers and an activity sheet. Each additional package has toys or souvenirs from the specific country, new country, coin, a letter from Sam & Sofia, activity sheet, photos, access to online content and stickers for your suitcase, passport and map. The monthly activity sheet besides information about that country has a few words for the kids to learn and a recipe that is poplar to that country. The world explorer program covers many countries including Australia, Brazil, Egypt, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Spain and Kenya.

The program has three different payment options

6 months its $19.95/mo + free shipping billed every 6 months, 12 months its $17.95/mo + free shipping billed every 12 months or monthly its $20.95/mo + free shipping billed every month. The program is recommended for ages is 6-10 but my kids are 9 and 12 and they both love it.

Little Passports does have a few other programs for a variety of age ranges including Early Explorers for ages 3-5, Science Junior for ages 5-8, USA Edition for ages 7-12 and Science Expedition for ages 9+. Prices vary on these monthly packs but they do also offer the monthly, 6 month or 12 month packs. Right now they are offering 20% off a subscription using code STOCKUP 2020.

We do plan to either continue with the USA after completing the world or add the USA now and start planning some epic homeschool field trips. I love that the world has become our classroom and we are able to see things and go places that we wouldn’t have before.

Although the customer service at times is a bit lacking especially with the addition of the Covid pandemic we give Little Passports two very enthusiastic thumbs up.
