The world is our classroom

Updated: Jul 23, 2020

One of the exciting things I’m looking forward to in the fall is the world of possibilities to learn. The trip to the store, cooking dinner, a road trip to a museum, or visiting a historical site. All of these offer a chance to learn in new and different way all while they don't realize they are learning.

There are so many better ways for kids to learn things and so many more opportunities to learn in and about the world around us by actually living in it. We can't wait to get back so many lost hours of transitions all day long and spend that time doing.

I'm excited to learn alongside my kids and when they find something that interests them to know we can spend as much time as we want learning every detail. We don’t have to stick to a schedule we don’t have to teach to a test. They can get back their natural curiosity about the world. They can have a real education.

I know this will be a transition and their will be hard work, struggles and setbacks. We know that there is no one right way to do this and everyone's journey is uniquely their own. We are ready to take on the world. It’s a world of possibilities.

Why some building’s are made of specific materials, the size the shape? All it usually takes is a question about so many different topics, so instead of a face in a device, you’ll find communication is developing, opinions & conclusions drawn, then more research to see who’s correct &/or why!
